one more week until we move into the house of horrors…
hubby called the cable company today to transfer service and was told the current occupant owes over $4000.00 in bills. Although I’m not surprised, i’m just hoping that it doesn’t affect our closing with a lien. But then again, That is what we are dealing with.
this adventure truly is about taking a leap of faith. We know this house has great potential. It just boggles my mind how people just don’t care about the environment they live in and do absolutely nothing to maintain anything. as someone who is so sensitive to my surroundings, it’s hard to imagine that some people just really don’t give a crap!
SO… Tonight I went to the drawing board and started more planning for the kitchen.
the original kitchen was done in a very pleasing wood with french detail.
for some crazy reason, it all got painted black. Maybe because they could destroy it and think it wouldn’t show?
so this is a shot of a wall that has an opening that i will close up to make more room for cabinets. There currently is a monster refrigerator taking up a lot of space and is not counter depth. It is just Hubby and I at this point and i don’t need a big fridge. I’m more concerned about it’s look.
i have chosen one that i can put a panel that matches the cabinets
I want to add brass and glass shelving and just leave the microwave on the counter where it currently is. the uppers will have brass cremone bolts and glass doors to showcase my china.

one week to go until i can finally get people in to start planning and working.
right now it feels like forever.
we will fill trucks on tuesday, stay in a hotel til thursday, as the buyers on our house wouldn’t allow us one stinking extra day to move out. we will close on our current house in the a.M. and roll over funds to close on the new house in the afternoon. we can move in on the 30th of august….
